Once you create an estimate, your inventory will not drop down since Estimate is a non-posting transaction. However, this option is unavailable in QuickBooks. Below Form, change the name to Sales Order.Click the pencil icon in the upper-right corner.Or click edit to open an existing template.Click New style to create a new template.You can create an Estimate template and rename it from Estimate to Sales Order. The inventory count is affected when you apply an Estimate to an Invoice or Sales Receipt. Since this is a non-posting transaction, you can use an Estimate as an alternative option.
